Open a transparent image 500 X 500.
Flood fill the layer with white, rename background.
Put this into your PSP preset shapes folder.
Go to your preset shape tool
From the drop down menu choose the heart shape....use the following setting.
Draw out a heart, any size you want. Move it to the center of the canvas.
On your layer palette, convert to raster layer. Rename this layer heart.
Go to Selection, Select All, Float, Defloat. You should have 'marching ants' around your heart.
Go to Selection, Select, Modify, Expand
Go to your material palette, change your foreground/stroke color to the color you want your heart. I used #a11919 - red.
With your flood fill tool, flood fill your heart. Deselect.
On your layer palette, duplicate your heart layer, rename it heart 2.
Duplicate your heart 2 layer, rename it heart 3.
Your layer palette should look like this...
Click on heart 2 layer.
BE SURE YOU ARE ON THE HEART 2 LAYER.
Go to Image, Resize, use the following settings....
Be sure resize all layers is NOT checked...
FROM THIS POINT ON.....
DO NOT MOVE YOUR HEARTS!!!
Click on your background layer. X it out. (Click on the eye)
With your crop tool, click on the 'merge opaque' button and then the check mark to apply or double click on image to apply...
Click on the check to apply
Remove the X (on the eye) from the background layer.
We are ready to animate.
If want to add any embellishments to your heart, text, your watermark, now is the time.
I added, word art, lace and an arrow to my heart.
Okay! Let's animate!
Click on your heart layer. X out your heart 2 and heart 3 layers like this....
Go to Edit, Copy Merged...
Go to Animation Shop (AS).
Click on Edit, Paste as New Animation....
Back to PSP....
Click on your heart 2 layer, X out your other heart layers, like this....
Go to Edit, Copy Merged, then on to AS.
Click on Edit and Paste AFTER the current frame....
Back to PSP.
Click on heart 3 layer, X out heart 2 layer, like this...
Go to Edit, Copy Merged, then on to AS.
Click on Edit and Paste AFTER the current frame....
Still in AS, Go to Edit, Select All....
Go to Animation...Frame Properties
Done!!!
View your animation, to be sure you are satisfied....
Go to File, Optimization Wizard and do the following....
Click Next on the following 5 screens....
Save as a .gif
This tut is my creation, any resemblance to another tut is purely coincidental. I'm using PSP 9 and Animation Shop. You should have a working knowledge of PSP tools to do this tut.
This screen comes up....set up as follows and click ok....
Add the same Inner Bevel to EACH heart layer.
