Happy Flower Face Tut
Open a transparent image 600X600.
Flood Fill with white.
Select your tube or use the one I provided.
Copy and paste the flower tube as a new layer, rename flower.
Duplicate your flower layer two times.
Your layer palette should look like this.

On the flower layer 2
Use the same blur and then go to
Effects
Texture Effects
Mosaic Glass
and use the following settings

****NOTE****
I always use the separate layer option when adding shadows to my tubes, this makes it much easier to change the blur and intensity and it also allows me to remove the shadow if I need to mirror or flip my image - makes life so much easier!
See arrow below....
Add the following shadow to the flower layer.
Rename this shadow layer flower shadow
Go to white background layer and hide
the background layer by clicking on the eye, a red X will appear.
Using your crop tool, cut off as much area around
your tube layers as possible.
Be careful not to cut out the blurred backgrounds.
See below....
Remove the X from the white background layer.
Click on your top layer.
Click on your text tool.
If using my tube...
Change the foreground/stroke color to #744a84
and the background/fill color to #eddce6
If using your own tube adjust your colors accordingly.
Type out your text, message, name, etc
I used the 'Anywhere but home' font, size 96, stoke 1.
Add the same drop shadow as we used before.
****NOTE****
Make SURE that you have "shadow on new layer" checked when adding the shadow to your font.
Otherwise when you merge your layers to animate you will have the shadow 3 times and you do NOT want this
For those of you using the flower tube....
I got this far and didn't like the way the text fit the graphic so I mirrored all my layers, except the text layer and background layer, of course!
Case in point....my shadows would all have been on the wrong side if I hadn't used a separate shadow layer!
If you haven't already done so
Delete the wrong shadow layer and apply the same shadow as before to the mirrored flower tube!
Make all layers visible
Resize image (ALL layers checked)
85%
Duplicate your text layer 3 times, you should have 4 text layers
X out the original text layer
(I do this in case I change my mind and wish to have a clean text layer)
Your layer palette should look like the one below...
Click on first duplicated text (great job1) layer.
Go to Selections
Select all, float, defloat
DO NOT DESELECT
Adjust
Add noise
Gaussian and monochrome checked
Noise 30

Click on the 2nd duplicated text (great job2) layer
Noise 35

Click on the 3rd duplicated text layer
(this should be the top layer)
Noise 40
Select none.

You are finished!
Unless you wish to animate your text...
We are ready to animate!
X out your top two text layers, text layers 2 and 3.
(You should still have your original text layer X'ed out - you can delete this layer or just leave it X'ed out)
Click on your first copy of your text layer
Go to Edit
Copy Merged
Go to Animation Shop and Paste as

Return to PSP

This tut is my own creation. If this tube is yours, please contact me and I will be happy to give you credit or remove it.
For the best results, you should have a working knowledge of PSP.
I'm using PSP V-9
Enjoy!

Rename this layer blur, noise

Heartfelt thanks to my friend, Frankie for all her help and suggestions. Here's Frankie's version!
