This tut is my own creation, any resemblance to other tuts is purely coincidental. I'm using PSP 9 and Animation Shop. You should have a basic knowledge of both programs to successfully complete this tut.
I'm using a delightful little panda bear tubed by Mull. I'm using the font Plump MT, any fat font will work fine.
Open a transparent image 850 X 400, we can resize later.
On your layer palette, flood fill the layer with white and rename background.
Copy and Paste your panda bear tube onto your image, rename the layer bear 1.
Duplicate the bear 5 more times....you should have 6 bears.
Rename the bear layers, bear 2, bear 3, bear 4 up to bear 6.
Your layer palette should look like this....
Your image should look like this....
I Xed out my background layer and used the checked background to line up the feet of the bears....
I used the left foot of each bear to line them up
On your layer palette, click on bear 1. Click on your text tool. In you material palette change your foreground/stroke to black and your background/fill to red. I used #bf0200 - red.
Use the following font settings...
Type out I, on your layer palette convert to raster layer, rename I.
Type out L, on your layer palette convert to raster layer, rename L.
Type out O, on your layer palette convert to raster layer, rename O.
Type out V, on your layer palette convert to raster layer, rename V.
Type out E, on your layer palette convert to raster layer, rename E.
Type out U, on your layer palette convert to raster layer, rename U.
With your mover tool move the letters into place....like this
On your layer palettle click on the "I" layer. Go to Effects, 3D Effects, Drop Shadow. Use the following settings...
Click on the "L" layer, repeat the same drop shadow. Repeat the drop shadow on each of the "letter" layers - ONLY!
Okay! Now for the important part!
Arranging the layer palette...
We want to move each letter UNDER each corresponding bear....
